How it works

01

Search, or browse by country and tier.

02

Check each listing's verification status and source before you trust it.

03

Contact the academy directly — there's no booking flow and no middleman here.

How verification works

What "verified" means here

Every listing carries a verification status, and the wording is deliberately specific about what was actually checked. An official board site confirmation means a governing body's own page confirms it; direct contact means someone actually phoned, emailed, or spoke to the academy — the strongest signal, and the rarest one in this directory. Website verified is the most common status: the academy's own live website was checked and shows a real, operating business, but nobody contacted them — that is not the same claim as direct contact, and we don't label it as one. Reported means the listing is backed by credible news coverage rather than a first-party source. Not yet verified listings are flagged, not hidden — we'd rather show you an unconfirmed listing labelled honestly than quietly delete it or pretend it passed a check it didn't.

Access type

Academies are tagged invite-only, hybrid, or open to public enrollment. This matters because it's been directly exploited: in February 2024 the BCCI issued a formal advisory stating its National Cricket Academy "does not charge any money from cricketers to use its facility" and that entry "is a merit-based process" open only to contracted and recommended players — after fraudulent ads promising paid admission targeted hopefuls. An invite-only academy is never something the public can pay to join, and we label it that way.

Celebrity-branded

A well-known player's name attached to an academy is flagged, not favored — it is explicitly not a trust signal on its own. The UAE saw multiple celebrity-branded academies collapse, including ventures linked to Rohit Sharma, MS Dhoni, and R Ashwin. This flag exists so a recognizable name doesn't substitute for actually checking accreditation and current operating status.

FAQ

It means the listing's facts — name, location, affiliation, and contact details — were checked against an official board site, the academy's own website, credible news coverage, or (rarely) actual direct contact with the academy. Most listings are "website verified": the site was checked and shows a real business, but nobody was contacted — that's a different, more common claim than direct contact, and it's labelled that way rather than folded into one generic "verified" status. None of this means we endorse the academy's coaching quality or guarantee current pricing.
